Terms and Conditions

  1. Claims can only be accepted from schools in the UK and Republic of Ireland. We cannot accept claims from individuals or other organisations.
  2. Registration forms can be found at www.boxtops4books.co.uk or can be requested by calling 0845 602 8755. Calls charged at local rate for UK, International rate for ROI. Mobile costs may vary.
  3. Participating schools must nominate a member of staff who will administer the scheme in accordance with these terms and conditions.
  4. ‘Box Tops for Books’ tokens are available, while stocks last, on special packs of Nestlé Cereals. The 2011/2012 ‘Box Tops for Books’ scheme runs from 1 September 2011 to 31 March 2012.
  5. ‘Box Tops for Books’ claims can be made annually, but must be received no later than 31 March. Books order forms for the 2011/2012 scheme must be received no later than 18 May 2012. Tokens will only be accepted if redeemed before the date printed on the token, and if received in a stamped, addressed envelope.
  6. Only authentic, printed tokens from legitimately purchased, specially marked packs of Shredded Wheat, Bitesize Shredded Wheat, Honey Nut Shredded Wheat, Fruitful Shredded Wheat, Shreddies, Coco Shreddies, Frosted Shreddies, Honey Shreddies, Cheerios, Honey Cheerios, Cheerios Crunchers, Oats & More Honey, Oats & More Almond, Oats & More Raisin, Golden Nuggets, Curiously Cinnamon, Nesquik, Cookie Crisp, Clusters and Force will be accepted. Cereal Partners UK will disqualify any claim that includes non-promotional tokens, photocopied tokens, tokens that are defaced or obtained direct from an employee or agent of Cereal Partners UK, or any source other than retail purchase.
  7. Bonus tokens will be given to registered schools who bank during the bonus banking periods as notified by the promoter.
  8. Bonus tokens will be given to registered schools who bank more tokens this year than last year (by 31 March 2012). Only actual tokens redeemed are eligible to be counted for this calculation, bonus tokens awarded during the bonus banking periods do not qualify. Tokens received after 31st March 2012 will be carried over into the following year.
  9. Cereal Partners UK cannot accept responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged tokens. Proof of posting will not be accepted as proof of delivery.
  10. There is no limit to the number of tokens a school can redeem, provided claim requirements are met in full.
  11. Cereal Partners UK shall not be liable for any damage, claim or costs, however incurred, arising from this promotion, or from the failure of schools to follow the instructions and guidelines set out.
  12. In any one year you can choose for your tokens to be exchanged for books or cash but not both. If redeemed for cash, each token is worth 10p/0.15euros.The option of books or cash must be made on the ‘Box Tops for Books’ official order form, which will be sent after the closing date (31 March 2012), which must be returned by 18 May 2012.
  13. Schools opting for cash must tick the cash option box on the official ‘Box Tops for Books’ order form and return it by 18 May 2012. The face value of 10p/0.15euros per token is non-negotiable.
  14. The free books must be selected from the range of books included in the promotion, the details of which can be found on www.boxtops4books.co.uk. You must have sufficient tokens banked and shown on your statement, for the books you have selected, in accordance with the instructions. The number of ‘Box Tops for Books’ tokens required for a book in this promotion is non-negotiable. Tokens submitted in excess of the quantity required for the books ordered will be carried over to following year.
  15. ‘Box Tops for Books’ tokens from previous years can be redeemed for books or cash if submitted by 31 March 2012 and provided the date on the token extends to or beyond 31 March 2012.
  16. Deliveries may be sent from different suppliers, so schools may receive more than one delivery per order. Whilst every effort will be made to ensure adequate supplies, Cereal Partners and the supplier reserves the right to substitute the books shown for similar books of equal or greater value.
  17. There will be two date options for books delivery: mid June 2012 or mid September 2012. The preferred date must be indicated on the order form. If a selection is not made, the books will be delivered mid September 2012. Claims for books not received, damaged in transit or shortages must be made within two weeks of the selected delivery date.
  18. No illustration or descriptive matter featured in the promotional communication form part of the claim contract nor can be regarded as a warranty or representation relating to the books.
  19. Once a claim is made it cannot be changed or amended.
  20. Schools may permit bona fide bodies / individuals to collect on their behalf.
  21. Where applicable, cheques will be posted to registered schools by mid June 2012.
  22. Force Majeure: Cereal Partners UK will not be liable for failure or delay in delivery or performance of their obligations under these terms and conditions due to any unforeseen cause beyond their reasonable control.
  23. Where Cereal Partners UK believe that there has been a breach of the terms and conditions, the company will refuse to process any claims.
  24. ‘Box Tops for Books’ tokens may be transferred between schools, but payments between schools must not occur.
  25. Cereal Partners UK will reserve the right to vary the conditions of the scheme at any time.
  26. By sending a photograph to us, it is deemed that the photograph is your original work (or you have permission from the photographer) and that you give Cereal Partners UK permission to use it for all related publicity purposes; and you agree to waive all moral rights in relation to it, without compensation.
  27. These terms and conditions and any claim placed hereunder shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, English law, subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
