Children can develop their understanding of basic story sequence and identify features of different characters.
Year 2 (England and Wales) / Year P2 (Scotland) / Year 3 (Northern Ireland):
Children can compare story themes in different versions of traditional stories. They can develop their ability to describe and compare characters using evidence from the text.
