Notes on activity sheets
There are five follow-up activity sheets which support the 'big book' story, 'Fast and slow'. They are designed to be used by small groups of children working with an adult (Foundation (England and Wales) / Nursery stage (Scotland) / Year 1 (NI)), or more independently by children in Years 1 and 2 / Years P1 and P2 / Years 2 and 3.
You can view, download and print off the sheets and make copies as needed. The activities are designed to be fun and to require only minimal resources (such as scissors, glue, colouring pencils). Each sheet can be used by any class, but they are designed to have a progressively greater degree of challenge (so an age group is recommended each time). Each activity lasts about 10–15 minutes.
